More publicity for Technor in swedish press.
This was sent out by the Rowe Group on Saturday:

Swedish WAP-Company ?stock price rocket? in USA

Technor International?s stock price has gone up like a rocket the last three months. Since the end of June the stock price has tripled. Today the company has a market value of 620 million SEK (75 Million USD). Shortly the company will move to the Small Cap NASDAQ list.

In Technor ?hides? the Swedish subsidiary Cellpoint. Cellpoint has developed a technique for positioning GSM-Telephones. The ambition for the company is to take a leading position in developing services in one of the ?hottest? trends ? mobile Internet ? that are built on positioning.

?We believe that we will be the leading company in this market?, says Cellpoints managing director Hadar Cars.

When mobile Internet and WAP-terminals hits the market the mobile operators has to compete for the customers. They have to offer the customers as advanced and individual adjusted services as possible. Positioning makes it possible for locate friends and fellow workers. Other possibilities are to offer the subscribers local restaurants and other geographically information.

?According to our opinion we will be first on the market with a commercial product directed to the mass market?, says Hadar Cars.

Like for other WAP-services it is the shortage of WAP-Phones that is the limitation.

?The really big mass market will we probably see first when we have really good WAP-Phones. But we can do lots of things today as well.?, says Hadar Cars.

Cellpoint has made deals with the Netcom owned Tele2 and France Telecom, but they say that they are working with other GSM-operators. Tele2 will soon start their service that is directed to road carriers and delivery firms. The service will make it possible for them to locate and render the usage of their vehicles.

Among the foremost competitors Hadar Cars sees companies like Unwire and the Swedish company Kipling. According to Hadar Cars there are no companies that can reach the markets as fast as Cellpoint. Ericsson is working with an own positioning system. It is not sure that they will develop their own applications.

Future competition can also come from GPS. GPS is a technique that uses satellites for positioning. GPS can give more exact positions and can therefore work as a mobile ?road director?. Something that Technor never can do. The advantage with positioning with GSM is that it works inside buildings, something GPS can?t do.

Technor is registered in USA, but has the main part of the business in Sweden. The main owner is Peter Henricsson. Peter Henricsson is managing director and chairman of the board at Technor.

Technor is today bought at the NASDAQ BB, but they have applied for being transferred to NASDAQ Small Cap. According to Technor it will take place in one to two months."
