*Perhaps* management knew it would leak. Any other ideas?

It is not uncommon for corporate executives to meet or talk with analyts and money managers on request. Mark Roberts has been a strong and early supporter of QCOM. Actually, I cannot disagree with anything Roberts is saying. I dont think anyone on this thread was expecting $1.12 in earnings this quarter (28% above consensus estimates). Based on what Roberts is saying management left open the possibility of beating estimates albeit not by as much as they have in the past. That sounds like they are saying low 90 cents.

The analyst was selected as a messenger to deliver the message to the investment community for Q's management. I would think the stock would open higher and then go down again tomorrow.
