Hello Rose,

Pleasure before business (my rule). Wondered where you had been. Thanks for the mountain pre-view. Mine is at the end of the month.

As for the posts, your guesses are probably on target. In fact, about 1/2 are regurgitated from posts earlier today. One exception, an upstart short got into the henhouse! Not too much humor to miss, not many were in a laughing mood.

My advise, go back on vacation! Everything was going well until you came back.

Just kidding. Don't be a stranger, OK to be strange.

my turn for two cents on the tornado
> like a missing nose on a face, no mention by the pukes at Everen about the chip division margins with its screaming growth, margins wider than Aunt Betty's hiney.. handset low margin is a yawn, well known
> doesnt Everen sell adult diapers? .. their meeting prior to WallSt real meetings sounds like a bum's rush
> agree with Sherman that CDMA will take no prisoners, but will tolerate halfbreeds for temporary stretches
> technicals look ok.. thought 175 would hold, but too much bandwagon jumping set up by Greenspan worrisome conditioning
>MMike, you like that Bollinger shit? .. yeah baby, two standard deviations and a moving average to chase away sellers
> shortages are the annoyance of the second coming.. bear with them.. they encourage increased supply.. trust capitalism, a lesson learned in Cuba

> today's action seemed like a 3-4 day correction packed into a single day.. we had maybe triple average volume.. we had a cover rally reflexing up to 174.. we had a retest with diminished volume at the close.. done

> no confirmation today from the fastest growing CDMA handset stock (AudioVOX).. VOX inched up all day but gave half back late.. they are on the doorstep to new highs.. heading to 18 then 21 on technicals displaying a textbook "Head&Shoulders"

>who the hell in his/her right mind would sell this puppy gorilla lower? we now have a 50% retracement of the move from 138 to 198

my call: 178 by Friday close, touching 180

bring on starting tomorrow the best, brightest, most adept supporters.. they will be countering with the rebuttal arguments.. our hidebound mgmt might make a comment even.. expect volume to offset handset margin.. anyway, lets give away handsets to promote and accelerate complete adoption!!!

next stop 215-225
got ahead of ourselves with two months to FY earnings announcement

sling shot coming / jim willie

Rose: One other thing I forgot that might be of interest,
Michael posted (#39185) a story about the 'Russian spy' case. On any other day it would have been a hot topic, but today it was totally ignored. Too much going on.

Glad you're back safe and sound.
