I don't think I distorted your post at all, Michael. I just carried it to its logical conclusion, something which for some reason you do not usually follow. To briefly reiterate, I understood you to be making the point that it is not guns in America that kill people, but rather a fatherless underclass. If that is your position, I disagree with it, because the fatherless underclass everywhere is the group that commits most crimes, but in other countries with stricter gun laws, they are not so violent. On the other hand, the recent study on abortion clearly makes the point that if the underclass is not born, crime is markedly diminished when this group gets into the primary crime-committing years, roughly the late teens to early thirties. So what don't you understand? Do you support the current gun proliferation in American society, or not? You are welcome to make your position more clear, in case I misunderstood it.
