Microsoft is really bleeding execs to Amazon... I have no doubt these guys get great option packages but I doubt they would make the move if they had any doubts of amazon's eventual success...

Another executive from Microsoft's Internet division has left the company.

Ben Slivka, a general manager in Microsoft's Consumer and Commerce Group, has departed to become director of information technology at Amazon, the companies confirmed today.

Slivka was considered a member of the core management team heading the software giant's charge onto the Internet. He left Microsoft last Friday and will assume his post at Amazon next Tuesday.

Michelle, Re: what exactly is your objective with your site? Is it a sort of analyst followup and critique as well as general stock info?

Part of site is designed to serve as a supplement to ML tech research. A lot of stuff either gets hidden in the details or is just plain missing. I try to fill in the gaps and predict the next moves by the analysts. I think this will be popular with ML brokers, if and when they get internet access. It's hard to believe they can't look at SI, Yahoo, etc at the office, but nearly every other ML employee probably can.

The other part focuses on net stocks with limited research coverage. I'm trying to identify the analysts who seem to have a particular stock figured out and note the changes in their views. At some point I might rank the analysts.
