MH,

I'm getting tired and need to go to bed! <gg>

LOL! I was just thinking the same thing. But since I'm on the West Coast, I get the last word tonight. Of course, you get the first word in the morning <G>.

But perhaps the non-tech PC buyers do know (like you do) that PC133 is inferior to RDAM and they might see the PC133 PC being less expensive?

I absolutely agree with what I think you're saying here (that some buyers will focus only on price). That's why RDRAM won't be in low end systems for a while. But, back to the Marketing and Sales aspects, I believe the perception (real or not) of 800Mhz memory vs 100Mhz or 133Mhz or 266Mhz is going to be significant. As a salesman, you know that you don't want to have to explain things to your customers -- you want them to place the order. Few salesmen are going to try to explain why 133Mhz memory is actually better than 800Mhz memory. In fact, just the opposite, many might use it to sell the customer up. (Obviously I'm projecting forward to a time when RDRAM is in the more "mainstream" systems).

Sleep well!
