The most significant line in that article is:

thousands of Web customers were cut off from their money for nearly 24 hours after USABanc.com was forced to remove its name from the Internet.

Which indicates that USAB, in fact, has thousands of depositors.

I'm really confused about the rest of this stuff. Why doesn't USAB just roll with this punch and pick a new name. ZapBank, XBanc, YnotUBank . . . who cares. There must be a million names out there. The damage has been done to USABanc.com; they've lost whatever momentum they had from advertising. Move on.

Frankly, I never really thought USABanc.com expressed a global outlook anyway.
