It's subjective, I've seen it called as little as 500K machines per quarter - or about 2% of the market.

You can exclude all of the consumer machines except the top of the gaming market - and those guys need floating point and will mostly go with Athlon (doesn't use Rambus), at least until we're into Q2 of next year and Intel is shipping something beyond Coppermine.

Businesses are more careful about PC purchases these days since they've learned how quickly PC's depreciate. They aren't as likely to buy expensive PC as they used to.

This is pretty pure speculation from both of us, and I don't think the people at the various companies involved know much better. I expect considerably smaller numbers.
