AOL bottoming to rise; Netscape with AOL's other projects pay off Q3 (October). Thursday Friday are turnarounds, expect a very high percentage ROI rally.

It seems AOL is DEAD money for the rest of the year...>

Dav:

A lot of investor said the same thing about DELL not too long ago when it was in the low to mid 30's. Since then, Dell has made a nice comeback.

Bottomline: Ask yourself the reasons you invested in a particular company. In AOL's case, great company and management. Stock will make a comeback sooner than later.

AOL data
fiscal 1997 to fiscal 1998 earning growth 800%
fiscal 1998 to fiscal 1999 earning growth 150%
fiscal 1999 to fiscal 2000 earning growth 74% (projected)
fiscal 2000 to fiscal 2001 earning growth 48% (projected)

If one was to project share price by forward earning multiplied by the growth rate,
AOL should be worth 0.61 x 74 = $45
and should be worth 0.90 x 48 = $43.20 in 2000

given bull market has tendency to overaward stock prices by inflated value, induced by analysts "strong buy" reiterated weekly, lets throw in 50% premium, $45 x 150% = $67.5 now and $43.2 x 150% = $64.80 in 2000

Microsoft will offer the service for as low as $6 per month in a deal with longtime computer retail partner Lan Plus. Those who sign up for membership--which costs $69 for one year or $99 for two years--on its new shopping site, MyShoppingClub.com, will receive a CD-ROM with MSN Internet Access.
