Looks like SI changes coming up:stocksite.com Launch Announcement on StockSite Home Page Exciting News (Good and Bad) for StockSite Users First the bad news - on September 15th, StockSite is going away! Ugh. Rats! Moan. *sigh*. Sorrow. :( But wait! Don't despair! Because the GOOD news is that we're replacing it with something even better. Hurrah! Yippie! Joyous celebration! :) Several months ago, we decided that it didn't make a ton of sense for Go2Net to go on supporting two online investing sites (StockSite and Silicon Investor). So, for the last several months, we have been working on a new version of Silicon Investor (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/), and we've integrated the best of StockSite to create one outstanding online investing destination. Now you can get all of the critical news, research and information that you're accustomed to seeing on StockSite, combined with the largest and best financial discussion boards on the Web. The new Silicon Investor offers a variety of new (and familiar) services, such as: * The key editorial features that you have enjoyed for the past three years - Bill Fleckenstein's Market Rap and the U.S. Economy Weekly - will continue to appear on the Silicon Investor site. Alas, we are putting Cousin Bob to rest (just the stock picks, not the real Cousin Bob). Plus, we've added a new Silicon Investor Daily and will be integrating additional writers over the coming weeks. * StockSite's company research functionality has been seamlessly integrated into the new Silicon Investor, and we've significantly improved the user interface. We have also added the best price charts on the Web, along with earnings estimates, enhanced financials and broker research reports. * At the request of many users, we have overhauled the portfolio tracker with new features, including the ability to maintain multiple portfolios, and we have significantly simplified the user interface. NOTE: We have done a one-time transfer of your portfolio information from StockSite to the New SI, and we suggest that you begin using the enhanced portfolio tracker on the New SI. The StockSite portfolio tracker will continue to work for the next 30 days, but when StockSite is discontinued, any further changes you've made to your StockSite portfolio will be lost. What Happens Next? As mentioned above, the New Silicon Investor is available immediately at siliconinvestor.com . Also, StockSite will be available until the end of August, at which time, www.stocksite.com will automatically re-route to www.siliconinvestor.com. You can start using the New Silicon Investor right away, and the services that you used on StockSite are available - at no charge - on the New Silicon Investor (although some will require registration - which is also FREE). If you were registered on StockSite, your Username and Password should work on the New Silicon Investor. If you have any questions or need technical support, please send e-mails to techsupport@siliconinvestor.com. We look forward to continuing to improve the site based on your feedback and ideas, so please let us know what you think via e-mails to feedback@siliconinvestor.com.
