White House Deputy Press Secretary Jake Siewert stuck his foot in it on Tuesday. He was talking to reporters who were trailing the Clintons in New York. Commenting on the GOP's forecast of $10,000 savings per family over a decade, Siewert said, "Well, $10,000--I don't know what that buys you here."

I guess he's right .. up there in Clinton terriroty --- where multi-million dollar book deals and $50,000 speaking engagements await, $10,000 is chump change. But maybe not for you or me.
