Goldman also said they believe the margin improvements on phone has been pushed out by a quarter. That's not bad, if I'm reading it as it sounds.

I received this info from a "transcript" from www.tveyes.com reporting CBNC's comments. Here's the text:

CNBC 9/2/99 - 8:10:56 AM .....Look at that. Joe: Wow! David: Isn't that something? Joe: It's really nice. David: That's adding a lot of value right there. Joe: Definitely. David: They are now in line with consensus. Goldman believes the margin improvements on phone has been pushed out by a quarter or so and they do not regard this as a permanent change and continue to believe qualcomm should be primarily value at a fabless semiconductor company with a strong royalty stream, no change in fiscal 2000 estimate. They're looking for $3.85.
