Unless I am mistaken I think the acronym "SSS" may refer to
SAME STORE SALES which is commonly used to measure revenue changes year to year and month to month...

Today is the day when most retailers report Same Store Sales and results for the preceding month and quarter. [How much was sold this year compared to the same or comparable store and period last year. . . this is how we judge how retailers are doing]
