8:31 and the last trade was at 9:04 for 85-1/2.

knee jerk reaction is to be expected

A gap down open today would be normal since as we are still in the pre launch phase, all news can be spun in ways to scare weak holders. Remember that Intel will not provide PC133 support in Camino so that PC133 isn't an alternative to Rambus, its an alternative to PC100. Today's stock action will be typical of many previous volatile sessions when news caused nervous traders to whipsaw the stock. CNBC has just commented on Rambus and has reiterated some of the FUD but they admit that they don't understand the issues. Note that no respected analyst has come out with any cautionary comments. So far, those who have spoken, including Mischou and Edelstone, about the events at IDF, see Intels comments as very positive for Rambus

So did anybody ever find anything more about that "DOA" comment by somebody over at "Monty"? Not that I believed it, but I thought that was irresponsible....
