Company Press Release

Priceline.com Announces 5-State Expansion For Its Name-Your-Price
New Car Service

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999--

Priceline.com expands new car service in California, Florida,

Connecticut, New Jersey, greater Philadelphia and

metropolitan New York; Company targets markets where over

1/3 of all new car buying takes place

Priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN - news), the service already known for selling leisure airline tickets, hotel rooms and home financing products on a
name-your-price basis, today announced a major 5-state expansion of its new car buying service where customers get to name their own price for the exact
car or truck they want.

Priceline.com said today that it has expanded its new car buying service in California, Florida, Connecticut, New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area. The
service had been available in the New York metro area and Tampa/St. Petersburg.

Beginning today, priceline.com's service is available in all of Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as Philadelphia and southern California.
Priceline.com said it expects to expand to the rest of California later in September. Company executives said they put a priority on entering these markets
because of their high volume in new car sales. Priceline.com's new car service will now be available in markets where over one-third of all new car buying
takes place. Priceline.com also said that, subject to positive market results and its evaluation of applicable regulatory requirements, it plans to roll out its
service to the 48 contiguous states during the first quarter of 2000.

Priceline.com's name-your-price new vehicle service enables consumers to name the exact car or truck model and options they want and the price or
payments they want. To help new vehicle buyers determine their price, priceline.com displays manufacturer suggested prices and dealer invoice prices for all
vehicles.

After naming their vehicle and price, consumers choose the counties they're willing to go to in order to take delivery of the vehicle. Without revealing the
customer's name, priceline.com forwards the purchase offer to factory-authorized dealerships in the area designated by the customer. The customer receives
no phone calls from salespersons. The first dealership to accept the customer's offer gets the sale.

Priceline.com benefits both consumers and dealers. Consumers benefits by using priceline.com to buy any new car or truck at their price without having to
enter a showroom or talk to a salesman. Dealerships benefit because priceline.com delivers real customers that aren't just window-shopping and taking up
valuable time at the dealership. Unlike other Internet vehicle buying services that only deliver leads, priceline.com delivers real customers committed to buy at a
set price, allowing dealers to quickly move inventory.

''Based on the enthusiastic consumer response we've received, we're pleased to now offer this exciting service in these new markets,'' said Maryann Keller,
president of priceline.com's Automotive Services group. ''Priceline.com is the best way to buy a car on or off the Internet, especially for consumers who aren't
skilled negotiators or don't want to haggle over their car or truck. With priceline.com, you simply name your price and wait 24 hours while we do the work to
find a dealership willing to sell you that car at your price.''
