INTEL CORP maintained its long-term support for computer memory
technology based on RAMBUS INC's (84-5/32, down 11-3/32 @ 9:41 ET)
design. But the chip giant also said for the first time it would
back the transitional technology known as PC133 - a less expensive
and less powerful alternative sought by many computer makers. Both
PC133 and Rambus designed DRAMs increase the speed data are
transferred from a computer's memory to its processor. As
processors become more powerful, data needs to move at a more
rapid pace to take advantage of the extra horsepower. However, the
greater cost of Rambus memory has many industry watchers skeptical
that computer makers will get behind it with computer margins
already thin.

I heard spot was $9.25 and predicts $10 soon. The spot is almost into a panic mode said one person who watches the spot today. There is just a lack of product to meet demand and prices just keep rising.
Seems to be too high, and will have to settle down and stablize, but who knows. Another source indicated the market is definitely strong enough to stay this way at least thru the end of the year until Jan/Feb.
I hope these guys are right.
As for Micron, this is a huge opportunity for them to gain major market share and go into the black?? did I say that?
Good luck to you shorts out there, you have guts..
Good trading.
