TVCP - MIAMI, Florida--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999--(OTC-BB:
TVCP). TALK VISUAL CORPORATION Vice-President of Internetworks
Vincent A. Lee announced today that the company, working together
with technical support and engineering personnel at Cisco Systems
(CSCO), Polycom Corporation (PLCM), UUNet - MCI/Worldcom (WCOM) and
Telia-Swedtel (the Swedish PTT), have successfully conducted
full-motion superior quality videocalls over the Internet from
company locations in Sacramento California to Miami Florida. The
full-motion videocalls were conducted using bandwidths between 400
and 768 KBPS.
"The quality of the pictures is the best I've ever seen," said Mr.
Lee. "It's indistinguishable from television."
The company retail videocalling centres in Sacramento and Miami are
amongst the current constellation of over 20 locations worldwide
from which videocalls can be launched and received. The company is
in negotiations to open another 200 locations during the next three
months. The retail videocalling centres are being connected to
Internet backbone service providers via T-1 connections.
Commenting on this major achievement for the company, Chairman
Michael J. Zwebner said "This is the type of excellent, high-tech
work our company can deliver. We believe we rank as the world
leader in commercializing the Internet for retail videocalling not
only from point-to-point within the United States, but also on a
global basis. This is, without doubt, the most exciting technical
development in the history of our company. It will enable us to
connect videocalls for our customers at lower costs, and with better
quality."
President and Chief Executive Officer Eugene A. Rosov, currently at
the company's Israel retail location in Tel Aviv, commented that
"because the company controls all parts and pieces of videocalling
service delivery - from reservations to network, to retail locations
and financial settlement - Talk Visual Corporation is indeed the
world leader in this field. Up until now, we believed we were at
least 18 months ahead of any potential competitor. This new and
impressively unique achievement by Vinny Lee and his team allows the
company at least one additional year to gain market hegemony in the
industry."
The company continues to expand its global network, with new
locations coming on-line continuously. "We are negotiating in many
overseas markets, and aggressively seeking qualified and capable
retail partners throughout the world" said Mr. Rosov. "Our
activities in Israel serve as a jumping-off point for setting up
partnership videocalling locations in Gaza, Roumania, Thailand,
Belgium, India, Pakistan and Cyprus. We anticipate locations in
these areas coming on-line in the very near future."
A list of all the company's videocalling shops is available on the
company's website at www.talkvisual.com. The site describes
continuing international operations and also allows visitors to
order a regular monthly mailing of the company's impressive
full-color newspaper. The third edition of the newspaper is now
available.
Talk Visual Corporation (OTC-BB: TVCP) is a pioneer in the video
teleconferencing and video e-mail industry. It is developing
