Re NT vs. Cisco product review, the following may be of interest. Since I am not a techie, I will others who know more tell us if this evaluation is meaningful(although not impactful in this market):

"In July and August testers at ZDTag posted five exciting new reports for our clients that might interest you. Check out the latest listing of reports anytime at:

Nortel Networks Corporation
Nortel Backbone Concentrator Node vs. Cisco 7513 IP Multicast
The Nortel Networks BCN(tm) was the clear winner over the
Cisco Systems, Inc. 7513 in our IP multicast wire rate forwarding tests. The Nortel BCN consistently maintained higher average forwarding rates, and successfully transmitted a higher percentage of IP multicast packets than the Cisco 7513. In tests with multiple
Ethernet receiver ports, the Nortel BCN successfully forwarded more than 10 times the number of IP multicast packets handled by the Cisco 7513. In addition, the Nortel BCN consistently outperformed the Cisco 7513 with 1, 2, 3, and 4 multicast transmitters.
