(BSNS WIRE) eConnect Launches eSports Bet Portal; Will Offer First-Ever
eConnect Launches eSports Bet Portal; Will Offer First-Ever Pay Per Play by
Same-As-Cash and Will Test Government Taxation of Internet Winnings

Business Editors & Gaming Industry Writers

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999--eConnect (OTC
BB:ECNC), a fully reporting company, Thursday announced the launch of
its eSports Bet Portal at betportal.com.
eConnect's Bet-Portal is the Internet's premier destination for
sports and casino wagering enthusiasts. It features 24-hours-a-day,
7-days-a-week Internet wagering action on the most popular sporting
events in the world.
eSports is a recognized leader in the sportsbook industry and
betportal.com represents the best the gambling world has to
offer in state-of-the-art systems, premier service and prompt pay
outs.
"The eSports Bet-Portal combines superior Internet wagering in a
consolidated platform and we feel that this format is at the forefront
of the online-gaming industry. Working with our SafeTPay(tm)
technology, we will be able to offer players a pay-per-play experience
and we will enjoy Same-As-Cash(tm) wagers," stated Thomas S. Hughes,
chairman and chief executive officer, eConnect.
"We will continue to grow BetPortal.com and expect an immediate
impact in revenue growth from www.BetPortal.com and most importantly
an increase in shareholder value."
BetPortal.com is a gate to the Internet sportsbook world and will
act as a test site for Australia-originated, pay-per-play,
Same-As-Cash wagers by debit card with bank-assigned PIN.
BetPortal.com will be able to send incoming winnings by
electronic-funds transfer to the consumer's bank, which can then
initiate government taxation of the Internet-gaming winnings.
eConnect believes that this business model will lead to global
government acceptance of Internet wagering.
eConnect is both an Internet and non-Internet company focused on
the global processing of P.E.R.F.E.C.T, personal encrypted
transactions originating from consumer-friendly terminals that enable
the public or home user to pay with either ATM card with PIN
Same-As-Cash or by secure, terminal-sent credit-card transactions.
eConnect consists of two divisions: the eConnect eGate division
is now actively launching EzyShop (www.ezyshop.cc), with revenues and
earnings expected to be reported in the fourth quarter; the eConnect-
Auction business unit and the service of Same-As-Cash, which is the
payment of Internet purchases with ATM card with PIN on line debit.
eGaming consists of BetPortal.com and 777WINS.com, which are
presently generating revenues and earnings.
eConnect's strategic alliance with E-SAFE will enable eConnect to
soon test first-ever, Same-As-Cash pay-per-play gaming transactions
from Australia to BetPortal.com and 777WINS.com, plus the instant
government taxation of these winnings.

Wayne, just out of curiosity: Were you able to place all those "pink" orders through your regular broker, or did you have to use some other method?

AND, which quote-service are you using to check the prices (they don't even show up on most services, including MyTrack -- the place I've been using to check on a daily basis is Bloomberg)? TIA...
