That's the point. Much more speculative activity compared with 1987. Margin debt increased by 53.5% in July from July '97.

Heinz, 2% of GDP is not relatively high wen the stock market cap is around 145% of GDP and total outstanding debt around 150% to 175% of GDP.

Oh well all on a relative basis.
