TFN - football anyone? lol -LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999--TFN, The Football
Network, Inc., (OTC BB: TFNK) has launched a unique "football only"
auction section on its website in conjunction with
onewebplace.com, according to Richard Lloyd-Roberts, senior
vice president of Internet services for TFN.
Launched on July 20th, 1999, TFN has been named the official
sponsor of the entire sports section of onewebplace.com,
and host of its football-only auction site. This site enables
consumers to buy, sell and trade football memorabilia. This auction
site will also be available on The Football Network's own site at
footballnetwork.com .
The site is broken into three sections: a private label auction
site, where fans will be able to trade among themselves; an auction
"mall," known as "Official TFN Auctions" where The Football Network
will sell memorabilia that it has procured itself, including signed
helmets, jerseys, footballs, photographs, collectable pins and much
more; and TFN-authorized auctions such as charity auctions with such
organizations as the NFL alumni and players associations, as well as
individual charities supported by players and teams.
TFN has already launched its "official merchandise" store and is
working on the finishing touches of a football-only "superstore" where
it plans to sell a wide variety of football-related products. This
will include helmets from the NFL, College, Arena, and European
leagues as well as footballs, jerseys, pins, flags etc. TFN is working
with footballhelmets.com, an official distributor of Riddell
helmets and Wilson footballs on this project. "Once this project is
finished, we plan to be the most comprehensive football store on the
Internet" said Lloyd-Roberts.
TFN is preparing to launch as America's first cable television
network that will provide 24-hours a day, seven days a week of
football and football-related programming, covering such levels as
Australian Rules Football, Canadian Football, European Football,
college football, high school football, Pop Warner & PeeWee football,
The Indoor Professional Football League, the Women's Professional
Football League and the United American Football League.
