You are new here. . Tony#2? Following William's lead on what we call "timing plays" . . .as one of many different plays. . .we buy microcaps with tiny floats, while they are WAY low, like under 1 buck. Then we sit on them for months and months. . . and upon news, our alerts go off, like it did on PARA early yesterday morning. . .we then either just ride it up or take further positions [I usually take 3 positions]. . Then sell when it hits the daytraders. We recognize the trading potential of such low float stocks. . . and remember we have already played PARA from 1.50 to 8.00 not too long ago. . . .so the shares we hold are WAY FREE. There are many stocks that we hold in our ports that are FREE shares . . .long after our profits have been taken and then some. . . I don't choose to sell my free shares of PARA on such uneventful news as this. Check back with me in another 3 months or so when it gets news that triggers the #daytraders IRC again. I might sell my original position then. . .if it is over 8. . . .but it really doesn't matter. . . my 2nd and 3rd positions yesterday served me QUITE well, thank you. If you full-text search PARA on SI, you probably won't see a mention of it prior to this thread. We buy LOW. . .If you look at the intraday for yesterday. . . many of those trades from 1.75 to 2.25 were from us. And we sold near 6 and near 5. . .and today we are not playing PARA. So once again, as I told your partner. . .you are a day late and you are preaching to the choir. I am a stock trader. You are a stock trader. We hold stocks in our portfolios for the purpose of making a profit. Correct? We don't buy such stocks to take to the grave. We have rock solid "anchor" stocks that we hold long. . . like T, INTC, WMT, SLB, DELL, etc. And while I am at it . . . if you are logged into the old SI, you can access this portfolio: techstocks.com If you compare it to the best performing mutual funds for the year, you will notice it is usually BETTER than the top performing year-to-date fund. And it is untraded. Hello? So I understand that you are digging for something to further your cause in shorting PARA, but you aren't finding it here. So I suggest logging on to #daytraders IRC and preaching to them. I am sure you will turn some heads there. It's a good day to be a bear, huh? Rande Is
