Tejerk - Re: "BTW, IBM announced yesterday they plan to take on intc on a number of fronts. How many fronts does that make....IBM, VIA, AMD.....can't wait to see those Q4 profits. "

IBM took on Intel when IBM launched their 486 Blue lightning device.

Seen any Blue Lightnings lately?

IBM took on Intel when they fabbed and SOLD Cyrix's x86 chips - seen any of these lately ?

IBM took on Intel when IBM, Apple and Motorola designed and developed the PowerPC chip in 1992/93 - guess how much Intel has GROWN since then ?

By the way - Intel WILL HAVE PROFITS in Q4 - how about AMD ?
