I was on the catch-and-release Canadian
special...two walleyes a day for shore lunch
and one trophy above 29 inches. Caught on
average 30 walleye and 5 snakes(N.pike) a day.
Absolutely fantastic. Next time I'm taking
my fly rod for use during the shore lunch break
and see if I can land a snake on ultra-light tackle.
No muskie this year. I was outvoted for the daytrip
up further north given the odds of catching muskie
vs. the great fishing we had around base camp.
Exactly forty-eight hours ago I was landing a 27", 7 lb.
walleye monster that challenged my drag and eight pound test.
I released it unharmed to catch it again next year.<g>

Oh Canada!
