Looked at GBIX and FVCX.

biz.yahoo.com

I agree with your RIMM assessment, but I'm not buying anymore at this price. Note that RIMM is profitable and is growing.

But GBIX and FVCX don't look very enticing. The are both not profitable, which means a no-no in my criteria. It's not ego, it just sound investing principles.

Why I might buy FVCX or GBIX
If : Something has fundamentally changed and their business is going to turn around.

Why I won't buy FVCX or GBIX

GBIX lost $1.06 in jun99. Expected EPS is -6.98 This sort of burnrate is very very dangerous.

FVCX is also a strange stock.
I see that EPS growth for Sep99 will be -195%. Annual EPS growth for 99 is -580%.

------

I continue to be amazed by speculators willing to put money into companies and ignore balance sheet and financials. What is the criteria people use to invest? Oujia boards?

Buy a stock with some way better growth going forward like FVCX or GBIX -- get rid of the ego and take a look at those stocks and the markets they are in.

ATYT blew it also on the shares management front, imo -- look at RIMM - blows ATYT away.

Buy GBIX and FVCX

All the Analyst are wondering why DELL cut ATI and went with Nvidia. Was it price or quality or both?

Well it was probably none of them. Rumour has it Mr. Softie is coming out with a Set Top Box designed around an Intel
500 Mhz uP and Nvidias Geforce and will license the design out. Code named X-Box. Now which camp would you want to be in. GeForce in the X-Box and PCs. Very cost effective.

Ahhmmm. TThhhttt

Heh where is Castra or whatever his name was.

CL

ATYT - disappointment on DELL loss; disappointment on biz model as they have not come out with a product for the set top market as good as Broadcom's. Computer graphics/accelerator market as sole function on a chip is behind the times.
