Xerox Signs Agreement to Resell INSCI's Family of COINSERV-Digital Document Archive and Web Technologies
INSCI COINSERV Digital Archive Slated as a Key Element of the Electronic Infrastructure for Xerox Enterprise Production Printing, E-Commerce and Internet Presentment Solutions
ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1999-- Xerox Corp. (NYSE:XRX - news) and Westborough, Mass.-based INSCI Corp. (Nasdaq:INSI - news) Thursday announced that the two companies have signed a strategic agreement whereby Xerox will incorporate and resell the INSCI suite of COINSERV enterprise digital transaction document archive and Web delivery products.

This announcement is a key component of Xerox's e-commerce/ Internet Presentment Solution announced in April.

This reseller agreement enhances the marketing agreement the two companies announced in November 1998. It also reflects a major step in Xerox's recently announced digital document strategy to grow revenues in this area, with a goal of having half its revenues generated through integrated software/hardware solutions.

Under terms of the agreement, Xerox will resell INSCI's products initially within North America, with planned future expansion to other geographies. Xerox has been reselling INSCI products in areas such as Latin America and Asia since 1996.

Phil Pilibosian, senior vice president, Financial and Healthcare Services industry for Xerox, said: ''INCSI's expertise in providing enterprise level transaction document archiving and Web presentment provides an ideal complement to our financial services solution. They are a valued partner and their technology allows us to provide our mutual customers with a comprehensive offering to accommodate their e-commerce and Internet presentment requirements.''

INSCI President and Chief Operating Officer Darryl R. Dobin, said, ''This is a significant expansion of our existing partnership and offers the marketplace a fully integrated solution that spans the electronic commerce requirements of customers.

''This integrated solution provides the power of digital printing with both Web presentment and document repository management and supports a broad range of customer requirements that more effectively leverages high value and high volume transaction documents.''

In April, Xerox announced a Global Industry Solutions Portfolio to address industry needs for integrated financial services solutions. The E-commerce Internet Presentment solution bundles traditional hardware and software offerings with value-added consulting and integration services, as well as INSCI's award-winning COINSERV for Windows NT digital repository or Advanced COINSERV for Unix, and the Internet presentment technology incorporated within both versions.

With this offering, Xerox now provides comprehensive solution alternatives for document production and delivery to financial services enterprises. Furthermore, the Internet Presentment solution will help these enterprises build a bridge from traditional print and mail delivery to Internet delivery of interactive, high value customer documents.
