Put aside Lenin for a moment and consider that the real revolution has occurred as Antonio Gramsci envisioned. Knowing that the call for the proletariat to rise up and take it to the streets probably would not work, Gramsci called for the intellectuals and students in the movement to start a long march through Western institutions. Starting with the Catholic Church and the mainline Protestant denominations, they penetrated universities, the media, and political institutions. I would say the takeover is about complete.
