>> the fact that Qualcomm's symbol contains *com* in it is the only thing it has in
common with the Internutz stocks. It is a fundamentally sound investment, not a
mo-mo play.<<

Franq,

I was commenting on the technical aspects of the stock price movement, not comparing the company to Internets. QCOM is a great company and certainly a good investment.

NO, I'm not the person "Bippin Prasad". Since I own some LSI you may have me confused with him.

UF -

Did you hear they just got Milton Friedman to go public and say that the US stock market is a bubble and is getting very dangerous. Quoted in todays German papers.

I tell you Greenspan and his pals have got it in for the market and they mean to kill it this time. They will not let a rise in the market go unchallenged by someone from the Fed or a governor or Greenspan himself. They have infinite speaking and interview opportunities and my guess is that if the market tanks they will say nothing but if it starts to pick up they will immediately arrange for an interview at which they will release some really tough statement about how tough they are going to be on inflation and how theyy won't hhesitate to raise interest rates at the very first sign of inflation. If that doesn't scare the pants off the market then they will say it again even stronger until they have effectively smashed this bull market.

What is the point of bothering to invest if the main target of the Chairman of the Fed is now the market and not inflation.

Best regards,

L
