I am doomed. I truly am the oldest. This sucks. Mightily. On the other hand, I remember my dear old departed maternal grandmother. She died a few months before Melissa was born. She was 96. She lived to watch the moon landings and beyond. She drove a horse drawn milk wagon from the top of Market down to "the market" on lower Market Street in her youth. (Her mother kept the gaslight fixtures functional in the apartment house, cuz this newfangled electricity thing might just fail someday you know. Funny thing is, they are still functional. Scares the daylights out of me.) She saw two world wars, a depression and at least a couple of market panics, not to mention cars, planes, radio, television, radar, color television, McDonalds in the Industrials list, hostess cupcakes and more.
