RE: Analyst rating and comments concerning IPO, Interliant (symbol INIT)

As an investor of INIT, I'm somewhat confused by the issued target of $20 by a Merrill Lynch, (ML) analyst when the current price was trading @ 23, and the fact that the target was so low compared to other similar companies.

Futhermore, after reading the analyst comments about the price target, I was left with the impression that the intergration of INIT's acquistions was a concern. Which leads me to conclude that the CEO's past proforma on integration was not part of your critria for consideration. Thus, leaving me to conclude something other than integration was the concern.

My suspicions are confirmed by the rampant rumor-mill spilling onto the Internet boards about this situation. I've read seedy accounts that ML has engaged in accumulation of INIT shares at investors expense, to a personal vendetta with INIT's CEO, to nefarious short-trading scheme with NITE.

ML's reputation as an underwriter and the future of your on-line brokerage is at stake. Such rumors will have a negative impact, regardless of their accuracy.

If there is some undisclosed reason that the target price was based on concerns other than stated, I believe as an underwriter you are obliged to disclose such information in a timely fashion.

I would appreciate any information that might clarify the situation. Thanking you in advance, I remain

Sincerely yours,
Owlclover
