Before someone decides to jump on my back for being ignorant of the problems in this government, i admit it's not perfect, but I thank God I was born in the USA and nowhere else. Our government is good, even if our current elected leaders are not. So what? whose fault is that? If I recall, there's been a downward fall in voter turnout. As for taking away our freedoms? I don't see it. There is such a thing as passive revolution. Just look at the former USSR. And that was in a country that had been under a communist regime for years, how long do you think a society used to personal freedom would stand for that?

Nulldog, I agree with your point that Koresh was not any kind of hero, and this thread has seemed to bury that fact under the government foul-ups, which do not excuse his role in the whole scenario. C Kahn

I havent noticed anyone portraying Koresh as a hero. We dont have many heros anymore these days but he wouldnt be one of them. But he was not a "nut" either. However you are entitled to your opinion...but if you believe it is ok for the govt agents, who have much more power and weaponry then the citizens, to kill people who have not been convicted of any crime...in fact to kill people who have been convicted of minor crimes too..then that explains why I fear for this country. Because probably many believe as you do. Freeus
