Rick,

<Chuck, I thought that the k7 was already released. It's my understanding that in the future they intend to rebrand and maybe repackage them ala Intel as k7pro, k7ultra and k7consumersomething, but since there are OEMs allegedly selling them in the consumer market, does that count as an unreleased chip since it isn't called k7consumersomething? How is the current k7 different from what they will call the k7pro?>

I am sure there are differences, what they are I do not know. All I can say is that AMD has not officially released the chips based on K7 core for Corporate desktops. So, K7 penetration in to the Corporate desktops is hard to quantify.
