Philip,

I must admit to not having noticed anything special about either, ie. low volume. Copper appears to be acting up well, BUT Cerro Casale is still quite some ways before seeing a decision by Placer Dome, ie. next year. There is lots of competition out there. For example, Noranda, Rio Algom and Teck announced $1.32 billion USD financing for Antamina copper/zinc project in Peru, to become one of the largest producers in the world when is starts up in 2002 (net cash cost projected at $0.35/lb USD.

On the other hand, AZS has been holding up and looks as if there is something propping it up. Will PDG sell out to someone more eager to develop it? I just don't know.

Thanks for the heads up on copper, I was not paying attention! LOL
