Tom, I believe that there are some distinctive indicators of "bottoms" on speculative Canadian stocks that can often be very different from what one finds as "bottoms" on the bigger traders. For instance, like you, I found the fact that volume decreased markedly during July and August very promising, and also the fact that both intraday and interday trading range narrowed markedly for several weeks during august (giving the chart the appearance as having a flat, horizontal "tail"). When I saw a nearly identical pattern on Westminster Resources (WML.T) I jumped into it at about $4/share (now $6.10). To me the drying up of volume and narrowing of the trading range in these speculative issues is a good indication that all the cheap paper has been blown out of the system. This is almost the exact opposite of more heavily traded exchange listed stocks, where bottoms form on heavy volume down days at such times when the "weak" holders "give up" on the company.

Whats the best Internet stock site to get quotes on Canadian issues? Bought a few videos from Videoflicks web site and was happy with the service. I want to start following this issue.
