My theory on inexplicable traffic slowdowns is tractor beams.

Tractor beams are a staple of Star Trek and Star Wars, they're a strong magnetic force that one spaceship can use on another.

Some places don't want cars to go fast, so they use tractor beams to slow them down. It took me many years of driving on the Beltway and I-66 to come up with this theory, but I think it's a good one. They have really strong ones in Falls Church. Traffic travels briskly on most of I-66, except that it always slows down along one stretch between Clarendon and Falls Church City, for no reason I've ever been able to determine.

Hi Joan, I understand what you're saying and I agree with it to a certain extent. But there is an inner circle of like minded planners that are working to build just what I was referring to. There are several organizations who have goals of managing economies, resources, finances, people, governments, armies all on a world scale. Wars used to be profitable but they are far too destructive since the advent of total war. They have to be stopped because they are now bad for business. Small wars can make a profit but they can escalate into bigger unmanageable ones. The United Nations was built on land donated by the Rockefellers. That family founded and control the Council on Foreign Relations which is dedicated to world government. It's all being done with the goal of creating world peace and prosperity. That sounds great, doesn't it.

But there is a down side. It's that we have to give up freedom to achieve it. Some don't want to. Take land use. One part of this whole plan is to preserve eco-systems. People who own land are told it's got some wild life that is protected. You know the whole story. They lose their private property rights. The UN has through Treaties at least in name taken over the management of out National Parks. Nobody is really aware of it. We still pay for it, but they make the rules now. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park now has signs going into it calling it an "International Biosphere Reserve". It's under the influence of the UN by treaty now. The new goals are to limit human use of the park and restrict travel through the park. This is happening in other National parks too. Bus tours instead of private vehicles are now being forced on vacationers. It's only going to get worse too. That's personal freedom being denied for the sake of "managing" resources.

The cashless society is their goal, but it is far behind schedule as people really scoff at having no cash. But it's a goal of theirs. Strict electronic transactions replacing cash and checks and having a more secure system will practically eliminate fraud and tax evasion in one stroke. These systems are being developed now. But the price is freedom. The catch word is world "management", not world domination.
