James, Monty,

I'm not sure the 'exact' rules of this but when taking a look at INTC's daily chart. You can see it ran up formed a nice big flag and then has now moved up more. ~85 looks to be close to where it compleates that move. But what will it do after that? Taking a look at last years correction it handeled itself fairly well so who knows if that will be a good one to short. I personally am waiting for MU to move up to the 80 region so I can throw some puts at it.

Monty do not touch stocks that they run up, you will get hurt regardless if you are right from an FA point of view. TXN is another stock they are running.

They gave up on IBM and I think on MOT and possible on HWP.

ANN, GPS and SPLS are examples of abandoned babies <G>

Well I been just plodding along mostly trading the QQQ , it's
no fast way to riches but I hit it regular enough to inch ahead
even in down markets.

Then I get this idea to play some side
bet and if don't work it takes back all my gains. If I try to
play stocks I can't afford enough of them to get the diversity
I need and still have anything left to bet the index with, also expenses go up, and I keep telling myself to stick with what I
know works, but I get weak & give in to old habits and
sure enough I'm back to square one.

You can't ( I can't ) play stocks unless I play ten of them,
by the time I track & trade ten stocks and all that no more
than I can buy at the time the broker makes as much as I do,
so doing the index is the only thing that makes sense to me.
But when I look back at some of the bigger hits I made from time
I get wanting to make taht side bet on my best guess, but it's no
good without diversity, and I can't do both.

But now taht I got my sights on that INTC I'll have to play
her through, it may take a month or two but I'll get her,
but by then I'll be lucky to break even.
