Anatole,

I don't have any particularly fresh insights. I think PTNX has been trying to get some regional brokerage firms to pick up research coverage. But I think they've been trying to attract some coverage for quite some time now with no success. It's probably hard to attract Street interest when you don't have any need for ongoing stock or bond offerings to raise capital. (Which is IMHO a major reason why Wall Street perpetuates the darling status of the internet stocks--because they burn cash like crazy.) However, maybe a Wall St. firm is building an inventory of stock in PTNX before coming out with a buy recommendation.

Also, on a fundamental note, the heavy investment in R&D and marketing expense that has been a drag on earnings over the past few quarters should start to bear fruit as the Asian crisis continues to abate and the new products get qualified for purchase by large customers. I calculate the fair value on PTNX to be in the mid to upper 30's based on discounted cash flow. It's hard to have patience with these small cap value stocks, though...
