I ate at a table with a barfing Chinese kid whose parents wiped his mouth and then TOUCHED the food without washing their hands- I did not enjoy that gorgeous mosaic, I can tell you- especially since we paid for the dinner. I don't care what people DO while they eat as long as it isn't unsanitary to ME.

Neocon's point was perfectly unexceptionable, and although a minor one, valid logically even if you don't agree with his conclusions, and had nothing of the pretentious or snobbish about them, not an iota. The fact that table manners are reflections of class membership is true if an incomplete characterization, but it is hardly a contradiction of Neocon's point. It in fact addresses it in no way.
