in what way is the dumping of gold connected with this...apart from the fact that gold has obviously trended opposite to the stock market. i mean, why should stock and bond markets care what happens to gold? the most widely held view at this stage is that gold has lost it's importance as a monetary asset, and people don't even regard it as an inflation measure anymore, due to it's peculiar supply/demand characteristics.
