Hello Mr. Simpson: DELL GTW

I follow Dell mildly but not Gateway. Although they may be overpriced as much of the market is, until a bear market occurs, these are not long term shorts. And they would need to be evaluated in a bear market for their respective market share performance. Room remains for the fit to cannibalize the weaker PC firms.

Both are better trading vehicles, particularly DELL, with about 4 to 6 trading cycles per year. I don't know how to get at margin squeezes for components. Dell is big enough to have an advantage there, both in equivalents and the more obscure custom run components, for which the customization to a Dell system can also reduce costs compared to similar retail components.

DELL does look toward the high side of the trading cycle. But then weigh why not wait for an approach to a new high to occur?

Best regards,
m
