I attended a dinner this past spring where the speaker was one of the "founders" of Silicon Valley venture capital investing. He gave three laws of the new Internet-driven economy. I think the 2nd one is relevant when judging the valuation of the market, S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, ot the Q. It is becoming more and more a "winner take all" economy. There will be more MSFT-type companies, not less. If this is so, then we should be seeing a split stock market - one for the winners (a group in which QCOM definitely belongs) and one for all the rest.
