Elmer, Re:"Merced benchmarks etc" Yeah its probably not too important just looking at SPEC numbers. Anyhow I am looking for SPEC numbers on Coppermine for Intel and Dell to back up the claim that they will recapture the lead from AMD. Or perhaps they will be reduced to doing a "blind" test to prove how coppermine improves the "internet" experience over the AThlon due to SSE. PS the dell folks at IDF were allegedly showing benchmarks for RDRAM and PIII and showed that under windows 2000 word was faster but other apps were slower with Camino and RDRAM. Certainly not a ringing endorsement for camino or RDRAM IMHO. But lets wait to see the real numbers. Regards, Kash
