It would not surprise me in the least. There really was no purpose for moving the debt offering offshore except to attract the sort of money that likes to remain anonymous.

It'll make for a great read when the history of "the rise and fall of amazon" goes into detail about what really happened.

I mean, besides losing billions of dollars while insiders quiety cashed out and became multi-millionaires.
