Re: "If you have any AMD shares that have been "PUT" to you, you can use this to your advantage by SELLING COVERED CALLs on your shares. "

Haven't had any shares put to me or I definately would sell covered calls.

Re: "Or, if you don't own any shares, sell UNCOVERED CALLS at a strike price of around 22 1/2 to $27 1/2 - but be prepared for a possible (but highly UNLIKELY) POSITIVE surprise."

Haven't tried uncovered calls yet but it's a possibility.

Re: "I can see a big sell off - and a minor panic - but the economy is doing great, everything but houses and stocks are getting cheaper - so I don't see any bear market of any significant duration. "

We have an S&P500 PE of ~27, the highest ever. We've had 2 rate hikes and we have the perception of inflation looming. The FED is quietly tightening M1. Bear markets can happen during good economic times. We have a generation of investors who have never experienced significant losses. How will they react to a panic? No guarantee of a bear, I admit but I don't want to sell puts more than 1 month out.
