ETPI's Performance Sound & Light Division Achieves 60% Sales Increases; Web Strategy 2000 Launched HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 1999--Entertainment Technologies & Programs Inc. (OTC BB:ETPI) continues growth with 60% sales increases for its Performance Sound & Light Division (PS&L). Nine month revenues for the period ending June 30 were $825,000, a $310,000 increase over 1998. Revenues for the year 2000 are expected to rise by 72% to $1.9 million, with similar growth scheduled through 2003 as PS&L launches its "Web Strategy 2000." New customer sales more than doubled compared to 1998, contributing to the revenue surge. PS&L's web site, performance-s-l.com , has increased the company's customer base by nearly 1000% since its launch. This has led to higher direct marketing sales to new customers, supported by increased reorders from existing customers. PS&L expects its customer base to expand beyond current customers, professional sound and light buyers (a $1.5 billion market) and online consumers of audio and video equipment. According to Forrester Research, the online consumer audio and video market will reach $3.2 billion by 2003. PS&L projects online and direct marketing sales of $7 million by 2003. PS&L President Patrick Chapman expects direct marketing sales to grow significantly over the next year. "At this point, our customers are using the Internet to compare prices and products and to request catalogs. We used to see a spike in sales right after a new catalog went out, with a decrease in subsequent weeks. Now, with web-generated customers combined with our existing customer base, we see our sales spike right after a mailing and plateau at higher levels with each mailing. This means we are marketing effectively and benefiting from buyer loyalty. Sound and lighting equipment sales online will become a significant trend in the next two years. For now our web site strongly supports the growth of our catalog sales. We are conservatively planning a minimum of 60% annual sales increases beyond 2000, which will be supported through our continued value-added pricing and government sales. As online sales trends pick up we will be in a strong position to capture a significant share of that market." In addition to online sales, PS&L is planning a powerful new source of revenue for its Internet site. By building a comprehensive Internet marketplace and community for DJ's and electronics consumers, PS&L will attract a wider audience of consumers, who will visit the site regularly. This will allow PS&L to attract advertisers in the form of vendor-sponsored new product reviews and banner ads by companies seeking access to PS&L's unique customer base. About Performance Sound & Light Performance Sound & Light provides professional sound and lighting equipment to military clubs and the civilian sector through direct sales efforts and catalogs.
