E-beam sterilization is not a new technology. However, this is the first time I've heard about applying it to sterilizing food. I agree that the comment about additives is a negative. Also, as I remember, it would be prohibitively expensive.

In any case, it appears that the only thread we're hanging by right now is the laundry application still being evaluated (I hope!) by the Navy!
