You misunderstood my point. It takes 8 chips to make a RIMM at the present time. The only near term volume production is coming from Samsung. The other producers are committed to game machine sales and their bin splits aren't good enough for PCs right now anyway. The total number of Rambus PC's that can be produced is going to be in the hundreds of thousands for Q4, and may not get too far beyond that until Q3 of 2000.

So if Dell really sells only as many SDRAM PC's as Rambus PCs, its total sales volume would be drastically reduced.
