Andrea Grosz, First Union analyst, cuts Q499 revenue estimates per management's guidance from $82 million to $78 million. Pushes out EBITDA positive results from Q499 to Q100. However she did raise her price target from mid $70's to about $95 per share.

Done on a Friday before a three day weekend, and the First Call note doesn't go out late. How many other "bulls" like Andrea haven't yet gotten that call? Who will Ellen call next? She is one of the major supporters of Exodus on the sell side.

As part of its global expansion, Exodus Communications(TM), Inc. (NASDAQ: EXDS), a leader in complex Internet hosting and managed services, today announced that it has entered into capacity purchase agreements with Global Crossing USA Inc., a subsidiary of Global Crossing Ltd. (NASDAQ: GBLX).

Under the terms of the $105 million transaction, Global Crossing is providing Exodus(TM) with an additional 5.1Gbps of backbone network capacity connecting future Exodus Internet Data Centers (IDCs) in Europe, Japan and the United States. Global Crossing will supply Exodus with two STM-1 circuits connecting New York to Frankfurt and two STM-1 circuits connecting New York to London; an STM-1 ring connecting London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Paris; four STM-1 circuits connecting Santa Clara and Tokyo; and OC12c service connecting Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, and Washington D.C.

"This agreement with Global Crossing lays the foundation for our international IDC network expansion plans, and provides Exodus with increased capacity, enabling us to continue to deliver scalability, high availability and performance of mission-critical Internet operations," said Ellen M. Hancock, president and CEO of Exodus. "By expanding our backbone network worldwide, we are increasing our capabilities to offer enterprises the best possible Internet hosting and managed services around the world."

"Global Crossing is pleased to provide Exodus with the needed capacity to support its growth," said Bob Annunziata, CEO of Global Crossing. We look forward to expanding our relationship as Exodus continues the aggressive development of its customer base."
