You know, one has to wonder how much faith one can put in the non-farm payroll number as a sign of a tight labor market. Let's see.... unemployment at an all time low. And in order to hire someone for a position, he/she must be ready willing and able to work. So if the pool is small and the potential worker is not qualified as defined above then the position goes unfilled and there is one less position created to add to the non-farm payroll number.

Anyone check the gas prices these days. Oh, my, glad I am not driving an SUV gas guzzler. Gas prices are 33% more here than they were at the beginning of the year. Now there is a force naturally slowing the economy. If you are feeding the gas man, you have less discretionary income to spend in a paycheck-to-paycheck family to spend on anything else.
