*Japan, DDI has big plans*

DDI to Place Priority on Mobile, IP Communications

September 3, 1999 (TOKYO) -- DDI Corp. announced its basic plans for the next five
years, during which it will prioritize its mobile and Internet Protocol (IP) strategies.

It particularly attached importance to the development of the usage of mobile
environments, such as cdmaOne cellular phone service and personal handyphone
systems (PHSs) to hook up to the Internet.

DDI expects that as of the end of March 2004, the number of users of its "DION"
Internet connection service will be 3 million through fixed circuits, 5.5 million through
cellular phones and 2.1 million through PHS systems.

It will also make efforts in the development of content, such as electronic commerce
in the mobile environment.

DDI projects that its profits in the long-distance telephone businesses will not
increase substantially as it will use the gains from the reduction of access charges for
hooking up to regional networks of NTT East and NTT West Corps. to lower its
telephone charges.
